Deputy Trott trained as an accountant, getting his first big break at Guinness Mahon when one of the directors identified him as having the right qualities to train as a foreign exchange trader. Not only did this enable him to carve a strong and decisive career path in finance, but the knowledge of capital markets and economics he gained at that time has proved invaluable on his political journey.
Lyndon spent four years as Treasury and Resources minister before being elected chief minister in 2008. He is dedicated to completing the evolution of Guernsey’s government into a force that is ready to meet the challenges of the 21st century. His mantra in business, politics and life is “good enough is not good enough”.
